At the very least 4 individuals have been injured within the incident, which occurred close to Visscherssteeg, an alley within the metropolis centre, on Thursday afternoon. Utrecht Mayor Sharon Dijksma stated not one of the accidents have been life-threatening.
The reason for the gasoline leak is unknown however it isn’t thought to have been induced intentionally.
The blaze has since been put out however it took firefighters a number of hours.
Giant plumes of smoke have been seen rising above the home, and the close by streets have been lined with rubble and glass.
One eyewitness advised RTL Information that they’d heard a “deafening bang” and that ” every part within the alley was destroyed”.
Different individuals advised the Volksrant newspaper that the partitions and home windows of a number of buildings have been blown out, and plenty of close by retailers have been broken.
Native residents have been evacuated, whereas members of the general public have been suggested to avoid the world.
